GreenWave

GreenWave
Brief Description: Greenwave is a creeping red fescue. This species is often seen on unmowed slopes. It can also be used in any ornamental area where a mounding ground cover effect is desired. Can be cut at 2 inches for a traditional turf appearance. However, it is not as durable as the Marathon® varieties in a lawn application and we recommend it be limited to areas where high shade will not support Marathon.

Recommended Use: This species is often seen on unmowed slopes. It can also be used in any ornamental area where a mounding ground cover effect is desired.

Common Name: Creeping Red Fescue Species: Festuca Rubra

Mowing Height: When left unmowed, the grass mounds will produce wispy seed stalks in the spring which will rise above the plants to a height of 12 to 18 inches. If considerable, they can be cut. Can be cut at 2 inches for a traditional turf appearance.
